to return the money received for the mule but proposed putting in a bill for board of the horse which I found on a little investigation I would have to allow, making it matter only worse for the freedman. I therefore dismissed the complaint.

As to the matter of $35. loaned it was not brought before me for trial, but I heard some conversation about it from which it appeared that Antony had borrowed the money to lend to Perry who had given his note to the original lender for the amount. As this appeared to have been done with Anthony's consent. I didn't think he could sustain an action against Perry. 

I have the record of the evidence in this matter.
