I wish to call your attention to the action of Lieut Swarzt who has been here in my absence and Sold Cotton and corn regardless of price to the amt as near as I can Learn of four or five hundred Dollars and has taken the money and used it for his own purposes it is well know that he keeps a woman of Loose character and they must have money to Live upon I call your attention to it Early so you may be able to prefer charges or anything you think proper. I have but I just reached here and will write you again soon things are all Lovely at Edenton give my Love to your wife and rest of the folks
