Chairmen Louis Boss reports that the list will keep on expanding, and we will keep you informed periodically. 

Slowly but surely some of the projects Equity is aiming for are getting results. We have gained ground on reproduction rights from LIFE and FORTUNE. Through the agency of Leon Kroll these magazines have agreed to pay $100 per page, payable to the holder of copyright. David Fredenthal, who is Chairman of this Committee, is not letting this precedent overgrow with moss, but exploring the field further. 

We have spoken before about establishing an Equity Bureau for Teachers and Lecturers We are getting the ball rolling on this project. We are working on the forms now, which should reach all our artists within the next few weeks. These are questionnaires to obtain information needed to establish a file on teachers and lecturers. When this Bureau us functioning we look forward to being of real economic help to a large number of our members. 

With a new United States Congress in session the Executive Board feels this is a good time to formulate our plans for government in art legislation. This Committee, under the chairmanship of Katherine Schmidt, has been greatly expanded and we will be informed of their progress very soon.
