As we know only too wall, dues are $12. Under present circumstances for some members, this represents a real sacrifice. If it were possible, our dues would be reduced to $1 a year. However, the face bald facts, the $12 does not even cover the costs of running the organization. If the amendments to the constitution, we will vote on, are passed, the National office will in the future only receive $9 and your local Chapter receive the other $3. We hope in due time that the administrative costs will be reduced proportionately, but even so we will req[?] we will concentrate on other means to carry Equity forward. With this in mind, we hope in due time that the administrative costs will be reduced proportionately, but even we will req[?] other means to carry Equity forward. With this in mind, we will concentrate on a special campaign to raise the additional funds.

We like to keep our membership constantly informed of all activities and will do everything possible to meet this end. As soon as we establish a new public relations department there will be more widespread news. Chapters will be making their own news, and they might work out an avenue of exchange with other Chapters. I should like to see more meeting and events sponsored by Chapters so as tp activate every member.

We are working to establish better relations between the artists and the museum one a community basis. Toward this end, a conference is being planned this summer at Woodstock, New York, on the subject, "The Artist and the Museum."
