Dear Mr. Kuniyoshi
Thank you for your letter of June 25th.
The details of the promotion we are working on are rather involved, so I think it a good idea to enclose a copy of a letter to Miss Connor of United China Relief more or less outlining what is to be done.
The last two paragraphs on page one and the first paragraph on page two indicate the manner in which your services, if you can see your way clear to participate, could lend an important part to this campaign.
If you will participate, the idea would be for you to do three pictures each based upon, and inspired by, the three books mentioned in my letter to Miss Connor. Regardless of how comprehensive or detailed your original artwork for the three pictures would be, each should feature a primary or basic design that would readily lend itself to adaptation as a simple fabric print.
I am interested in having your reaction and hope that we will be able to work this out.
                 Sincerely yours,
                 (Signature)
