ENDORSEMENTS. 411

McNeilly. Robl.
A. A. Surgeon.

Endorsements on request for certain repairs on the Freedmens Hospital Building.
Forwarded to G.W. Marshall, D.O. for an estimate of the cost of these repairs.

Disbursing Office, Bureau R.F. & A.L.
Nashville, Tenn. Sept. 23d, 1867.

Respectfully returned with the report that after a careful inspection of the Buildings within referred to, I estimate the repairs asked for as follows:

Material for building Flues $55.00
Material for building Walk 60.00
Stoves and Pipes 110.00
Making a total cost of of $225.00

The "small building" at Bethany Colony is on my G.M. Papers, and cannot be broken up and used for the purpose asked except upon the order of the Chief Quartermaster.
I am informed by Mr. Ma Groane, Col. Morris Chief Clerk, that if there are any surplus brick at Cumberland Barracks, we can have them. This would reduce the cost of the repairs about thirty five dollars.
