Harris, Sam. D.
Genl. Insptg.

Endorsements on request that room at 48 Beal St. be rented by the Bureau at 90 per month in place of 343 Main St. formerly occupied by the Freedmens Savings & Trust Co.

Bureau R.F. & A.L. Sub-Dist. of Memphis
Memphis. Tenn Oct. 23d 1867.

Respectfully forwarded approved. The rent of the room referred to within is quite reasonable at $90 per month and the location is a desirable one for the purposes required. It has been demonstrated by actual experiment that the Bank could not be successfully carried on in its old location. The removal in my opinion was imperatively demanded.
