To the questions of slavery and Secession; but these will  be a strong party in the Convention opposed to the repudiation of the rebel war debt, and upon this subject, there will be hot and excited debate.

I wish your excellent system of Administration for the Freedmen, could be extended to this state. Not that Genl. Tillson does not do well; but I am convinced from what I have observed both here and in Tennessee, that you would do better. Your jurisdiction ought by all means to be commenserate [[comiserate]] with Genl Thomas' Command.
