Gen'l: I had the honor of accepting a letter asking for detail for duty in your bureau, and explaining at the same time the grounds upon which the request was urged. That letter was directed to Louisville. It is now stated by the Press that your Head Quarters are to be at Nashville, to which city I therefore direct this, having the honor to enclose herewith a [[strikethrough]] copy of [[/strikethrough]] letter from Major General S.R. Curtis, upon whose staff I am acting as Aide De Camp.
