Genl Fisk
Dear Sir
Yours of yesterday, and to day, both rec'd. I was quite gratified that you approbate My Course as to Uncle Tom
That of Henry Webb and others was a forgery So far as Henry & Danger were concerned The other boys are whiskey dealers and appealed to me for relief, having been fined by the Civil authorities. - I pointed them to the Acts of Tenn [[strikethrough]] Legislature [[/strikethrough]] page 525 Stating to them that the Legislature alone could give them relief &c with which they were not at all satisfied
All other cases brought before me has gone off Satisfactorily (So far as I know) And I have had some hard and Knotty ones I expect beyond your belief
Excuse my annoyance
Resfly Yours John A Jackson,
[[image]] Those Copy's of instructions would be very acceptable
