MEMORANDUM FOR COLONEL G.A BROWNELL,
Room 3-E-967 Pentagon Bldg.

SUBJECT: Senate Investigation.

There is annexed memorandum addressed to me by Colonel Knowles, outlining a talk he had yesterday with Mr. Connelly, Chief Investigator for the Truman Committee, relative to numerous complaints concerning Miss Cochran's training activities, etc.

I do not know, but it is probable that the Committee will make an investigation of the matter.

Mr. Connelly gave more alleged details to Colonel Knowles, who can tell them to you if you wish.

I request that you look into the matter and give me any information which you think requisite to use in the event that inquiry takes place. Please bear in mind that Colonel Knowles is merely reporting allegations made to him by Mr. Connelly.

JULIUS H. AMBERG,
Special Assistant to the
Secretary of War.
