In compliance with Paragraph No. 468 Revised Army Regulations; I have the honor to report: that I am on duty as Superintendent Southern District of North Carolina, in the Bu R.F. and A.L. by virtue of Special Orders No. 50 from Hd. Qr's Ass't Commissioner of North Carolina, dated Raleigh N.C. April 6th 1867: having been directed by Circular Letter from the A. G. O. dated 28th December 1866: to resume my duties in the Freedmans Bureau: after my examination and appointment in the Regular Army, and being mustered out of service as a Volunteer Officer
