States that Mr. Marmaduke Powell refuses to pay him for his labor having promised him a good share of meat & corn for his labor on the farm in addition to this, he promises "Orange" that he would allow him 2/3 of the proceeds of the Turpentine if he would get it ready for market - That his wife, had received no pay for her labor, from the said Powell. |


|   | Wrote a communication to Mr. Powell - stating that he must pay Orange fair wages for labor or give him a fair share of the crop and that, he must pay his wife for her services since the 27th of April 1865 |

Mr. Russell has driven him of the farm, and refuses to pay him for his labor - |
