86 Fayetteville N.C. March 27th 1866 McRae D.G. States that Maj. Laurence left unfinished business in his hands which he has attended to. States that a good many complaints are made to him, but he has no authority to act Bureau Refugees Freedman &c Hd Qrs Asst Commissioner Raleigh NC march 29 1866 Respectfully refered to Brvt Maj Wickersham Supt &c who will forward the enclosed letter to Mr McRae By order of Col.
