I am directed by the A. Asst. Com'r. to inform that your application for transportation for Mary Marshall & 8 children has been returned disapproved. Gen Schofield having recommended that no more freedpeople be sent to Norfolk.
A statement of the difficulties attending the class of cases has been forwarded to the Com'r.
