Bureau Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands
Headquarters Southern District of North Carolina
Office of Superintendent
Wilmington, N.C. July 30th, 1867

Colonel,

One Alonzo Simmons (Col'd) Complains that he gave Mr. Sellers, a Constable of this county, the enclosed Judgment against one Anthony. That he paid Sellers $2.50 for collecting the same but that he has never taken any step to do so. As all the Civil offices are under your orders, I would request that said Sellers be detained to collect this Judgment

I Am Colonel
Very Respectfully
Allan Rutherford
Sub. Asst Comr.
