I enlisted in the Sharp Shooters under Major Phillipp Weinmann March the 5th 1865 at Wilmington N.C I enlisted for five hundred dollars Bounty & recd 2 hundred dollars which left three due me. While at Raleigh after the surrender of Johnson the Sharp-Shooters were disbanded and attached to the 37th Rgt. U.S.C.T. While in that Rgt I recd the 2 hundred dollars Bounty. I was mustered out at raleigh last February and I did not get any of the Bounty money which was —
