I have the honor to ask for information on behalf of Rhoda Powers (Col'd) She says that her son Alfred Power (deceased) enlisted in the 1st Regiment North Carolina Colored Heavy Artillery on the 31st day of March 1864 and was mustered out in accordance with G.O. No. 37 Hd Qr's Dep't of North Carolina, dated May 5th 1865; on his Discharge is written, "Paid Without Bounty. record not clear. may 29/65 R H Arnold Paymaster U.S.A."  Rhoda is a widow and wishes to ascertain if any Bounty is due her son, before she has the
