To Whom It May Concern:

During the six months that Professor Chiura Obata was in charge of the Topaz Art School, it developed into one of the finest institutions of its kind. Professor Obata, renowned as a painter, and skilled as an organizer, was largely responsible for the tremendous interest shown in his work by the residents of Topaz.

At the Art Exhibit of the Friends Center, Cambridge, Massachusetts, five awards were given to paintings from the Central Utah Relocation Project.

My personal and professional relationships with Professor Obata were extraordinarily pleasant, and I wish him every success in the future.
