Miami's Royal Visitor
Windsor Views Air Maneuvers

Escorted by Brigadier Gen. Tinker, U.S.A (left), and Lieutenant Hinton of MacDill field the Duke of Windsor views the All-American air maneuvers of Municipal airport yesterday, after flying here from Cat Cay.  The Duke accepted the special invitation of Gov. Spessard L. Holland to attend Miami's air classic.  He returned to Cat Cay late Saturday.

Aside from the duke's visit, which may be repeated so he and the duchess may attend the President Roosevelt Birthday balls Jan. 30 here, yesterday's program consisted of races and stunting exhibitions.  Commenting on the proposed visit with the duchess the last of this month, Windsor said "it is difficult to make dates in war times."

He was presented with a button by the British-American Ambulance corps, Miss Miami Aviation (Ruth Shelley) handing it to him.  He also was greeted by the Chinese ambassadress of good will, Miss Lee Ya-ching, a member of Relief Wings, Inc.
