MISS LEE SPEAKS ON MSCW CAMPUS
Petite-Aviatrix Tells of Great Need of China and How It's Fighting
Greetings form the people of China, and appreciation of America's support of United China Relief were brought to the students of Mississippi State College for Women by Miss Lee Ya Ching when she spoke to the student body and faculty at noon today.

Petite and charming, Miss Lee's appearance and manner gave slight indication of the great energy which she is expending in an exhaustive schedule in behalf of her native country, or of the pinnacle which she has attained as an aviatrix.

Because her own red plane, donated by an American manufacturer, is on exhibition in New York City, she was unable to fly to Columbus. Instead, she left New York for Birmingham by commercial plane at midnight Thursday, and after filling a strenuous engagement here, will return the same way Saturday night.

Educated in England, Miss Lee speaks English fluently. She came to the United States to complete her training in aviation, and then returned to China to become an instructor For the past three years, she has given her time to seeking American help for her warn-torn country, appealing especially for funds for medical aid.

"I hope you in America realize how fortunate you are to be living in these beautiful surroundings, and in a peaceful country free from the constant danger which citizens of China face today," Miss Lee told M.S.C.W. students.

"In the three years in which I have been here I have watched the American reactions to Japanese invasion of China, and I have seen it grow into respect for a country which continues to fight and to rebuild," she stated.

Back of China's spirit and fine morale lie 21 centuries of unbroken history, Miss Lee pointed [[?]] by nature
