MISS JEAN EWEN, native of Winnipeg, who was nearly drowned in the Yangtsee River and exposed to Japanese bombers during the war in China where she was serving as a nurse. Miss Ewen has been appointed in charge of campaign headquarters, 102 King street west, of the Friends of China Relief Campaign now going on.
