AKRON BEACON JOURNAL
ROTARY WILL HEAR CHINESE AVIATRIX
A three-way program placing emphasis on the cost of war and the part that American allies in China have played in the Far Eastern theater will feature the weekly meeting of the Akron Rotary club Tuesday at the Mayflower hotel.
W.S. Miller, advertising manager of the General Fireproofing Co., of Youngstown, will speak on "The Price We Must Pay." Miss Lee Ya Ching, the well known Chinese aviatrix who is called the
"Amelia Earhart of China," will also speak, appearing at the meeting with a group of Chinese students in Akron with whom she is working in connection with the United China Relief drive.
The third feature will be the showing of a sound film, "Western
Front," showing war scenes in China. The views depict the military strategy being used by the allies in the Pacific war areas. Walter Mitchell, jr., director of business surveys for Dunn & Bradstreet, Inc., of New York, will address the club April 21, speaking on "The Seven Biggest Snags in Price Control and Rationing."
