Some Suggested Points for Radio Interview

1. Joy shown by Chinese people at evidence of American sympathy and support shown by medical supplies, blankets, ambulances, etc., sent over. Help to popular morale those represented. (Cite instances where possible.)

2. Tremendous good -- in lives saved, suffering spared -- even small contribution from America represented. (Cite instances where possible.) American dollar goes so far in China.

3. Stories of some of the refugee children, young girls, families, in Hongkong hospitals you worked in. How refugee camps and hospitals saved lives, restored hope. (Cite instances where possible.)

4. Have noticed China's war seems like oft-told tale to many Americans -- no longer so horrifying because so long-drawn out. Newer tragedies attract attention now. But China's need greater because of longest standing. Two years of war have made 50,000,000 refugees, 6,000,000 war orphans. Need in China now greater than anywhere in the world. More desolation there than in all of Europe after World War.

5. One reason for learning to fly -- to help China. Sign of the times is that young Chinese girls and men -- even of wealthiest families -- learning to do things once undreamt-of to help China's people.

6. Incidents of your tour in America. Strange questions some Americans asked about China. Instances of American sympathy for China you saw, of American desire to help China's war victims.
