Interview Between Mr. Maynard T. Hazen and Miss Lee 

Q. Miss Lee, I understand you just arrived in Hartford this morning. Did you fly your own plane from New York ? 
A. No, I came on the American Airline plane. 

Q. I read in the newspaper that you have done considerable stunt flying. Have you given any exhibitions recently? 
A. Not recently. In China I used to do stunts for my countrymen, since they were glad to see a woman who could fly. I have flown 30,000 miles over this country, though, and just came back from a flight to Florida on behalf of China Relief. 

Q. Why did you come to Hartford today, Miss Lee? 
A. I came to help the Hartford Committee for United China Relief. This Committee is asking the cooperation of Hartford citizens in raising money for China. 

Q. As a resident of New York, I know you must have been very busy with China relief activities there. What is being done? 
A. A Fashion Show was held at The Hotel Pierre, and I modelled a dress for Mrs. Roosevelt to send to Madame Chiang Kai Chek. 

Q. When did you leave China, Miss Lee? 
A. Two and one-half years ago.

Q. What part are the Chinese women playing in the war ? 
Under the leader ship of Mme Chiang
