Both of them violent copperheads & opponents of the freedmans Bureau. Genl I think it would be well enough to notify such stock to be very cautious about fileing suits agains Government officers. General this excitement is very high here at present and I am satisfied that prompt & vigilant action upon your part in this case will satisfy this people that the bureau will be sustained in spite of them and then socty will have but little or no more trouble All they want is to know that Loyal men, not traitors, must rile. Just let them no that the bureau is here by authority and will be sustained.
