Gentlemen:

You will find attached hereto the LaGuardia Field Instrument Approach Procedure Using Approach Control, revised March 6, 1942.

You will find that there are very few changes with respect to the actual operating procedures with the exception of placing a maximum of six trips directly under the jurisdiction of approach control. Also holding instructions at Port Chester have been changed to hold between the intersection of the Northeast leg of the Newark Range with the Northeast leg of the Classons Point Range and four minutes Northeast. Information regarding the clearance sequence for flights holding at Port Chester have also been added.

Approach Control will operate on 3117.5 kcs and 75 mcs, 75 mcs being used as an auxiliary frequency.

Approach Control will begin operation on March 10, 1942, at which time the Port Chester Fan Marker will be reduced to one-quarter power.

Very truly yours,

E. R. Mehrling
