A. POWER SETTING (CONT'D)
7. Periodically check all instruments to insure proper operation. If head temperatures exceed 450 degrees F. operate with cowl flaps in "Trail". If necessary, reduce airspeed and open flaps; then turn valve to "OFF" so that increasing airspeed will not force them closed.
B. FUEL SYSTEM USAGE
1. If change-over to auxilliary tanks has not already been made, and 20 minute period since take-off has elapsed, engines should be operated from auxiliaries during cruise.

4 Tank Fuel System - If fuel load includes fuel in both auxilliary tanks, both engines may be operated from one auxilliary tank or each engine may be operated from its respective auxilliary.

As airplanes in this group (except 86547) are equipped only with left auxilliary tank, both engines should be operated from this tank.
3. In the case of either 4 or 3 tank fuel system, operate only one engine at a time on an auxilliary containing less than 40 gallons of fuel. It is permissible to drain a tank completely when operating one engine on the tank.
