[[logo]]COLONIAL[[/logo]] REGULATIONS [[logo]]COLONIAL[[/logo]] FLIGHT [[underline]]Section 3504: Route Procedure-General[[/underline]] [[RECORDING OF CLEARANCS RECEIVED BY RADIO IN FLIGHT[[/underline]] All airway traffic clearances and company clearances received by radio in flight are written on the back of the company Flight Plan form. The Flight Plan form shall be used for this purpose as it is desired that the Flight Plan form show an accurate log of everything that happens in the way of navigation details on the flight. In the event that insufficient space is afforded on the back of the company Flight Plan Form, Captains and First Officers shall use a blank space on company clearance forms for recording clearances. Listed below are approved abbreviations which shall be used for the phrases indicated, when writing down clearances received in flight Any additional wording not covered by the below listed approved abbreviations shall be written out in abbreviations easily understandable. APCH Approach CHG Change FLI Coney Island Intersection Climb CLRD Cleared CRZ Cruise CTC Contact Descend EST Estimate EAC Expect Approach Clearance Time FPC Port Chester Marker HLD Hold IMMD Immediately LCL Local LVG Leaving M Maintain (i.e; "M 4000 NX" means to maintain 4000 at New Hackensack) NB Northbound NDE No delay expected < Less than > More than NETR No essential traffic reported NR Number OVR Over PSG Passing RNG Range RPT Report SB Southbound SHP Standard Holding Procedure SLA Standard Instrument Approach STN Station TFC Traffic TWR Tower UFA Until further advised WX Weather X Cross (i.e; "XNX 4000" means to cross New Hackensack at 4000) Clearance messages should always be reported back to the ground station fully but traffic shall only be acknowledged by the words "traffic received." 2/1/47 Flight
