[[RECORDING OF CLEARANCS RECEIVED BY RADIO IN FLIGHT[[/underline]]

All airway traffic clearances and company clearances received by radio in flight are written on the back of the company Flight Plan form. The Flight Plan form shall be used for this purpose as it is desired that the Flight Plan form show an accurate log of everything that happens in the way of navigation details on the flight.

In the event that insufficient space is afforded on the back of the company Flight Plan Form, Captains and First Officers shall use a blank space on company clearance forms for recording clearances.

Listed below are approved abbreviations which shall be used for the phrases indicated, when writing down clearances received in flight Any additional wording not covered by the below listed approved abbreviations shall be written out in abbreviations easily understandable.

Clearance messages should always be reported back to the ground station fully but traffic shall only be acknowledged by the words "traffic received."
