RADIO RANGE PROCEDURE

Section 3601 - General
1. When approaching a Radio Range Station to execute instrument approach procedure, the following cockpit procedure will be considered a standard:
[[arrow]] (a) Captain using one beam receiver tuned to the Range Station for working procedure.
[[arrow]] (b) First Officer using another beam receiver tuned to the Range Station in order to check the range signals being received by the Captain. First Officer also using Company receiver with volume at such a level that calls from Company Ground Station will be audible.
(c) Seat Belt Sign On.
[[arrow]] (d) Reduce indicated airspeed to 120 m.p.h.
(e) Lower landing gear.
(f) Mixture full RICH
(g) Gyro Pilot OFF
(h) Cross feed OFF
(i) Altimeters set to Station "Altimeter Setting" and Station "Pressure Altitude".
(j) If Station is not simultaneous Range Station request Company Ground Station to obtain continuous range operation. However, do not make this request until within 15 minutes (estimated) of the Station. Be sure to release continuous range immediately upon becoming contact.

2. Instrument approach procedures are divided into the following divisions:
(a) Initial Approach Altitude
This is the  first approach to the Range Station for the purpose of definitely locating the Station and the specified altitude is the minimum until after definitely proving position over the Station. The time over the Station will be immediately reported to
