TO ALL REGIONAL VICE-PRESIDENTS,
MASTER CHAIRMEN, AND LOCAL COUNCIL CHAIRMEN

Dear Member:

Enclosed is a copy of an analysis made of pilots' mutual aid plans now in operation on seven of the airlines.

I am chairman of the committee, appointed at the last convention, to make a study of such plans and submit a proposed plan for an A.L.P.A. mutual aid plan at the next convention.

It might be well to discuss this at the various meetings on your airline and our committee would appreciate any comments, suggestions or advice which you may have to offer. It will also prepare you for a discussion at the next convention when this matter will be brought forth.

The committee is working on a proposed plan which will be submitted to the next convention and, if you have any information to offer, we would be pleased to have it as soon as possible. We would also like the names of any members on your airline who have considerable experience with any such plans.

Right cordially,

AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION
