Dear Mr. McConnell:

We have received answers to our questionnaire concerning the reduction in landing minimums for straight-in ILS approach to runway 4, LaGuardia Field. From the results obtained the pilots have indicated that they are definitely against lowering ILS minimum to 300-1/2 for straight-in approaches to runway 4 at LaGuardia Field.

In answer to the second question, the pilots indicate that they are against any reduction of landing minimums with the present navigation facilities and available runway conditions. We have polled all the pilots from all bases operating into LaGuardia Field and have received representative answers from all parts of the country and the results prove conclusively that the majority of pilots do not desire any further lowering of minimums at LaGuardia Field on the ILS with the present navigational facilities.

We hope this information will be of service to you in arriving at a conclusion for the CAA that is acceptable to the majority of the pilots.

Sincerely yours,

AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOICATION
