Desirable Qualifications: University degree or equivalent; ground in training of aviation personnel; administrative experience in planning and organizing training courses; experience as flight crew member and in preparation of training films also valuable.

Position: TECHNICAL OFFICER, COMMUNICATIONS SECTION
Grade 4 - ($6,600 - $7,850 a year, Canadian funds)
Probable duty station - Lima, Peru.
Duties: Under technical supervision of the Chief, Communications Section, to advise ICAO Representatives on aeronautical communications matters; to assist the ICAO Representatives in implementing communications plans drawn up at the Regional Air Navigation meetings; to carry out such other instructions as may be issued from time to time by headquarters. It is expected that principal duty will be to serve as communications advisor to the ICAO representatives in South American Office.
Desirable Qualifications: General knowledge of aviation requirements in the field of air navigation with specialized knowledge and experience in aeronautical communications; experience in liaison work; experience in the implementation of large scale aeronautical communications plans; thorough knowledge of spanish and working knowledge of English.
Position: ICAO REPRESENTATIVE
Grade 3 - ($7,500 - $9,000 a year, Canadian funds)
Initial duty station: South American Office, Lima, Peru.
Duties: To maintain liaison with a group of states, particularly on air navigation matters; to serve as the organization's representative in dealing with matters relating to implementation of the recommendations of Regional Air Navigation meetings; in this connection to keep the states informed of proposed changes in procedures and facilities; to keep headquarters up-to-date regarding implementation of ICAO standards, practices and procedures in the Region; the work of the representative will be co-ordinated at headquarters by Chief of the Regional Organization.
Desirable Qualifications: General knowledge of civil aviation requirements, particularly in Air Navigation matters; administrative experience involving liaison duties and the handling of correspondence. Thorough knowledge of Spanish and working knowledge of English.

Position: ICAO Representative
Grade 3 - ($7,500-$9,000 a year, Canadian funds)
Initial duty station: South American Office, Lima, Peru.
Duties: To maintain liaison with a group of states, particularly on air navigation matters; to serve as the organization's representative in dealing with matters relating to implementation of the recommendations of Regional Air Navigation meetings; in this connection to keep the states informed of proposed changes in procedures and facilities; to keep headquarters up-to-date regarding implementation of ICAO standards, practices and procedures in the Region; the work of the representative will be coordinated at headquarters by the Chief of the Regional Organization.

Grade 4 (Cairo,Egypt) - ($6,600-$7,850 a yr(Can.funds)
Grade 5 (Lima,Peru) - ($5,600-$6,850 a yr(Can.funds)
Duties: Similar to those described for ICAO Representative, except that activities will normally be carried on under the supervision of a Representative in charge of the office.
Desirable Qualification: Similar to those noted for ICAO Representative; French and English language requirements are more important in the Paris and Cairo Offices.
