in the past years when the Contract Committee wanted to enlighten the membership but in reality had no information to offer.
The Committee would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation to the Association as a whole for its aid and assistance. Particular mention should be made of our President, Mr. Behncke, who personally steered us clear of mediation. let us not forget Karl J. Ulrich, whose patience and hard work, coupled with his ability to laugh even in the most trying moments, brought us through many a tight spot. Jack Christie, who helped us prepare our Bermuda Supplement of 1947 should also be remembered. This Committee feels proud to call these people to the attention of the Council at this time.
We would also like at this time to thank the various Council Chairman together with the ir Executive Councilmen for their cooperation and assistance, particularly Captains Ricker and Clark.
Now that this Committee has concluded five different written Agreements with the Company, now that the pilots of this Council have already been enriched by over a One Hundred Thousand Dollars in additional salaries, not to mention a vacation without loss in pay and a sick leave without parallel in the industry, this Committee feels that its work is completed and we take this opportunity to again thank you one and all and wish our successors the best of luck.

Respectfully Yours,

The Contract Committee
