FORM GE6 PRINTED IN U. S. A.

COLONIAL AIRLINES, INC.
INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE
[[/letterhead]]

TO: Captain Michael A. Gitt DATE: 10-10-49

FROM: Chief Pilot

SUBJECT:

I have your letter of October 7, 1949, concerning the domestic DC-4 training program. I cannot see, after a thorough study of your letter, that the position you have taken has changed in any respect.

It is my understanding that you stated, in writing, to the Chairman of the Pilots Safety Committee, that you feel the domestic DC-4 training program is unsafe. Your October 7th letter does not retract that statement in any respect. SO far as we know, you still feel the same way. You merely stated that the Chairman of the Pilots Safety Committee had no right to act for you or discuss this matter with me.

We do not contemplate any change in the domestic DC-4 training program, nor do we intend continuing your training under a program which you consider unsafe.

Please feel free to come in and discuss this matter with me at any time.
