Dear Mike:

I have your letter of September 19 relating to the DC-4 training program. Unfortunately, I was wound up so tight in making the final argument in the National representation dispute case that I was forced to defer my other work temporarily. It was either this or take a chance of losing the most important case of the year.

I understand, from one of the Headquarters people, that one of our local pilot representatives on Cdonial exercised the very poor judgement of giving one of your inter-Association letters to a company official.

Call me when you receive this letter and we'll straighten out whatever appears to be off the runway. I also have another matter I would like to discuss with you at that time.

Best personal regards.

Sincerely yours,
AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION
