Dear Mike:

I am in receipt of an expense form covering the dates of October 8-9-10, 1968 totaling $59.85. We have no request for any activity of the Age 60 Committee except for October 7-8, which was for Captains Goss and Muirheid, which had previously been approved.

Under existing policy established by the Board of Directors, we are unable to authorize expenses or flight pay loss on a project unless prior authorization has been obtained. Apparently Captain Goss had only contemplated he and Captain Muirheid participating in any activity, which covers the dates of October 7th and 8th. As the result of the foregoing, we are obliged to turn these expenses down unless some justification can be supplied by the Age 60 Committee.

Also, I would suggest in the future before you incur any expense, please be sure that prior authorization has been obtained.

Sincerely yours,

AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION
