Mayo Clinic
Rochester, Minnesota

Dear Dr. Carter:

Thank you for your letter of June 11, 1968 and for your continuing interest in the matter of age retirement for professional air line pilots.

Since I wrote you on May 10, the Administrator has handed down a final FAA denial of our Petition for a public hearing. In view of that development, which might suggest that we're not as near the point of public exploration of evidence as we hoped, and because of some conflicts of my own during the periods when you'll be available, I'd be grateful for a rain check on the meeting which was previously requested.

If agreeable, I shall undertake to communicate with you again later in the development of this matter. Meanwhile, my thanks for your kind interest and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Herbert A. Levy
