In the Case of, Freedman Ben Alex Martin & others vs H.W. Cotter sr, Mr Cotter does not claim the Services of the Freedman, only to the Twenty fifth of December 1865. A portion of the hands are still working on Mr Cotters farm gathering the Crop though under a new Contract, There remains in Mr Cotters field about nine bales of Cotton and Seven or eight hundred bushels of Corn yet ungathered, Which the Freedman Contracted to gather, Mr Cotter only wishes the Contract established So
