that the Bureau is the only tribunal having cognizance of cases in which Freedmen are parties, and that it has full, and ample authority to act in such premises to secure for the Freedman his equitable rights.— But should Officers who execute processes, and Attorneys who prosecute for Freedmen, or defend one, [[strikethrough]] are [[/strikethrough]] be subject to the rules of said order, they will not execute a process or defend a party prosecuted

There are now two (2) cases before this court for adjudication, where Freedmen have purchased Stock of (so styled) Home Guards, which had been replevied from them (Freedmen) by alleged owners (by civil process) prior to the appointment of Supt. for this Co. and in one instance the Supt. has (in obedience to justice) rendered judgement in favour of Freedman, for the amt of cash paid by him (to defendant) for stock, believing it just that the
