NOV. 1 1867 [[/stamp]] Recv'd B R F and A L. Tenn. Octbr 12th 1867. Office Supt of Education Bureau R F and A L. Nashville Tenn Octbr 12th. 1867 Respectfully referred to Bvt Maj Genl. Wm P. Carlin Asst Comr. I like the spirit in which this application is made. From a personal inspection of the school rooms in question the stoves appear to be necessary to the school. The statement that there are no means for purchasing them I believe to be correct. If in any instance we aid in furnishing school rooms, this application seems worthy of a favorable consideration. D.
