In reply to letter of the Asst Commr. of the 22nd inst.- states that the "Gun Factory" case was not compromised; but the County decided it in conformity unto the opinion of Atty. Genl. Bates that the owners, having taken the benefit of the amnesty were therefore entitled to have their property surrendered to them.
