1. 1. Raleigh N.C. February 1st 1868 Chur Col J.F. A.A.A. Genl. Colonel, I have the honor to report that no cases of Outrage have accrued in my District during the 15 days ending January 28th 1868. I am Colonel Very Respectfully Your Obdt Servt, H.C. Vogell. Agt Bu R.F. & A.L. 2. Raleigh N.C. February 1st 1868 Page Wilber Esq. Wake Co. [[left margin]] has taken the benefit of the bankrupt Law. [[/left margin]] Sir. Tom Peoples says you owe him $95.87 a balance on settlement. He and his son worked for you twelve months for #220.00 and rations. Charles Reddick says you are indebted to him $40.45. Edmund Page also says that you owe him $58.49. You will come to this Office on Wednesday night Feby 5th and arrange this account. Washington Beaver complains that you have turned him out of his house and locked his corn & Fodder, and other property This you have no right to do, and have exposed yourself to a serious charge. You will at once open the house, give up into his possessions what property he has there, and give him two days to get away. You will call at this Office and explain this matter.
