He states that he worked for Mr Ivey last year, for 8 barrels of corn and his board - and that Mr Ivey refuses to pay him. You will please look into this matter and see that this man has his rights. He also states that Mr Ivey threatened his life and in other respects abuses him. Please, take his statement, and if it is found correct, have Mr ivey arrested and bound to keep the Peace; Please write me and inform me the result of your action. Yours Respectfully H.C. Vogell.
