Sir,
Calvin Booth makes a complaint at this Office against Thomas Ivey. He states that he worked for Mr Ivey  last year, for 8 barrels of corn and his board - and that Mr Ivey refuses to pay him. You will please look into this matter and see that this man has his rights. He also states that Mr Ivey threatened his life and in other respects abuses him. Please, take his statement, and if it is found correct, have Mr ivey arrested and bound to keep the Peace; Please write me and inform me the result of your action.

Alex Ivery complains that you have his Fodder and Cotton seed to which you have no right. Also that you fed your horse on his peas. You will deliver to him at once his fodder and seed, or call at this Office and explain it.
