Terms of Contract between S R Steele and Cambell Fowlk a freedman

Said Cambell on his part agrees to labor in the service of said Steele during the year 1866, as a farm hand and to perform such service faithfully  Said Steele agrees and binds himself to feed and clothe said Cambell, his wife, Lucinda, and their three children, [[strikethrough]] and pay for all necessary medical attention. [[/strikethrough]] Said Steele also binds himself to give said Cambell one third of the corn and cotten and one fourth of the wheat that may be raised by them on the premises. Said Steele further agrees to find the teams wagons, plows and other implements of agriculture necessary to carry on the business of the farm and to provide suitable house room for Cambell & his family
