Article of Agreement between 
Theophulus Shaw of the county of Hardiman and state of Tennessee of the 1st part and Betsey Perry of the 2nd part For the year 1866.

For and in consideration of Two Hundred Dollars to be paid at the 
end of the year, Betsey Perry and her
son Charles are to work faithfully until the 25
day of december 1866, for me, they are to do 
general work about the house and farm.
and if during the year either or both should
be seized with protracted illness so as to 
disable them from work over a reasonable span 
of time a deduction must be made to equal 
the time lost.  The said Betsey is to furnish her 
self and her son clothing Pay her own doctors
Bill.  She must govern her son and see thatno 
impertnance is given my wife and family in 
any way whatever.  She is also required to keep good order
about her cabbin, and not allow too many
visitors.
