Articles of agreement made and entered into between James McGuire of the county Hardiman state of Tennessee of one part and colored George Cross of the other part,

The said George hereby agrees to do any and all kinds of work during the year of 1866,- to discharge his duty faithfully in all things subject himself to said McGuire's orders.
