Articles of agreement between J.B. Spinks of the first part and Bob Spinks and his family Felix Spinks and his family Hettey Spinks and family.

The first part agree to furnish land and mules to lend the same feed the stock feede all of the hands that work furnish plows hoes [[?]] and give the second part one fourth of the cotton and corn and give to all that work one pair of shoes and each family fifteen bushels of wheat this December 26th 1865.

The second part agree to do faithful work and work under the directions of J.B. Spinks or R.H. Black repar the fence build a new [[?]] [[?]] feed all of the stock get wood and make fires and work old style fashion and not to ride the mules without permission get breakfast soon be reddy for work when ordered to and be obedient and respective to all of the family. R.H. Black works with the second part and the first part pay R.H. Black his wages and not to have Negroes about their cabins without the consent of J.B. Spinks.
