Know all Men by These Presents, THAT J M Richardson of the County of Hardeman, State of Tennessee, are held and firmly bound to the United States of America in the sum of one hundred & fifty dollars, for the payment of which I bind myself heirs, executors and administrators, firmly, by these presents, in this CONTRACT: That am to furnish the persons, whose names are subjoined, (freed laborers,) Quarters, Fuel, substantial and healthy Rations, all necessary Medical Attendance and Supplies in case of sickness, and the amount set opposite their respective names per month, during the continuation of this Contract — the laborers to be paid in full before the final disposal of the crop which is to be raised by them on Richardson plantation, in the County of Hardeman, State of Tennessee.

Are we sure of the names? Cross-reference with the page before this... This looks good to me. I don't see any value in putting question marks all over everything. The source could be right. John Roach was a name on an earlier page.
