Contract made and entered into between Wm. Murphy of the one part, and Saline & Celess Bagly (by their Mothers)consent) on the other part, all (colored) 
Wm. Murphy is to pay Saline thirty dollars, & Celess sixty dollars. Said Murphy is to furnish Celess three & a half pounds of meat & a peck of meal a week. He is to furnish Saline six pounds of meat & a peck & a half of meal a week.  He said Saline & Celess are to furnish their clothing & pay their Dr. bill. They are to do good & faithful work on Wm Murphys farm during the year 1866 - and be subject to Wm. Murphy & N. Williard orders. Given under our hand this the 2nd day Jan 1866
